Dear Paso Schools Families,

Welcome back from a well-deserved Spring Break! Friendly reminder that school resumes tomorrow (Tuesday) with an early release day.

We’re officially in the home stretch of the 2025–2026 school year. These final 52 days tend to fly by, and if the approach of year-end milestones feels a bit bittersweet, you’re not alone. With graduations, promotions, and summer vacation just around the corner, this season is filled with celebrations and transitions. It’s a reminder for all of us to pause and take it in. As the saying goes, “the days are long, but the years are short," and that truth feels especially real right now.

Looking ahead, don’t miss the first annual Future Bearcat Spring Festival at PRHS Parrish Field on Saturday, May 2 from 4:00–9:00 p.m. More information and tickets are included below.

Finally, a reminder that on Wednesday, April 15 at 9:00 a.m., all PRJUSD schools will conduct a practice lockdown drill. As part of this exercise, we will also test the ParentSquare Urgent Alert system by sending a test notification to families, staff, and students. Additional details are provided below.

Math is All Around Us! Join us for a hands-on workshop designed for our busy families. Learn how to help your child succeed in math using things you already have at home.

Parent University is presented free of charge to all Paso Robles families, whether or not they have children enrolled in the District. Please feel free to invite friends and neighbors who would appreciate additional math support for their children! Childcare and refreshments will be provided.

Wednesday, April 15 from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the District Office Board Room (800 Niblick Rd. Paso Robles, CA, 93446).

Join us for the first annual Future Bearcat Spring Festival! This new event will bring together students of all ages, from all across the District. Our Bearcat Boosters will be BBQing, along with hosting carnival games, a silent auction, and a movie under the stars. Tickets are available online now—just scan the QR code or follow the link.

In preparation, we ask that all families review their contact information in Aeries to ensure that phone numbers and email addresses are accurate. If any updates are needed, please contact your school office. Maintaining current contact information is essential so that you can receive timely notifications in the event of a real emergency.

These routine drills play an important role in helping students and staff understand and follow safety procedures, while also allowing us to confirm that our communication systems are functioning effectively.

We also encourage families to check in with their child after the drill, answer any questions, and remind them that these practices are in place to help keep everyone safe.
