Thank You for an Incredible Year

Posted Date: 06/04/26 (05:45 PM)

This week in Paso Schools
Dear Paso Schools Families,

As we close another school year, we want to take a moment to recognize an important group of people whose efforts often happen behind the scenes: our families.

Thank you for the early mornings, the packed lunches, the homework help, the permission slips, the rides to school, the rides to practice, the rides to performances, the rides to games—and then all the rides back home again.

Thank you for the spirit day outfits, the fundraiser support, the volunteer hours, the words of encouragement before a big test, and the comfort offered after a tough day. Thank you for cheering from the sidelines, applauding from the audience, showing up for conferences, reading bedtime stories, and helping your children navigate the challenges and triumphs of growing up.

Every student who crossed a stage, earned an award, learned a new skill, overcame an obstacle, made a friend, discovered a passion, or simply showed up each day ready to learn did so with the support of loving adults behind them.

Schools play an important role in a child's education, but families are their children's first teachers, their biggest advocates, and their most consistent source of encouragement. The successes we celebrate at the end of the year belong to our students, but they belong to you, too.

As summer begins, we hope you take a moment to reflect on all that you helped make possible this year. We are grateful for your partnership, proud of what our students have accomplished, and honored to serve your family.

Congratulations on another successful school year, and thank you for being part of the Paso Schools community!

Summer Communication
Regularly scheduled school and District ParentSquare updates are paused until August, but we'll continue checking in periodically with recaps of end-of-the-year events and photos, updates about the coming school year, and helpful links to help support a fun and restful summer.

You can also follow us on Instagram, and Facebook as we celebrate the close of a wonderful school year, and prepare for the one to come.

If you have questions or need immediate support, please call the District Office at 805-769-1000.

Paso Robles High School Graduation Ceremony Information

If you will be joining us tomorrow, please read below for important information regarding the ceremony, enhanced safety procedures, clear bag policy, what to bring (and not bring), seating, parking, shuttle buses, drop-off areas, photography, live-streaming, and more. (The following information is also available online.)

Graduates must arrive 45 minutes before the start of their ceremony (5:15 pm) and report to the Gymnasium at Lewis Flamson Junior High. Please drop off graduates in the Lewis Flamson Solar Parking Lot drop off area, which can be accessed through the alley way of 26th street between the Municipal pool and Town House Motel. Please DO NOT drop off graduates along 24th Street to reduce traffic congestion in that area.

GRADUATE EXPECTATIONS
  • Graduates should only wear their pre-approved cap and gown with school-approved regalia.
  • No leis (flower, money, etc.), flags, or unapproved items will be allowed in the ceremony.
  • Graduates should ONLY bring keys to the ceremony. Cell Phones will not be allowed in the ceremony. Graduates will be provided with water prior to the ceremony.

ENHANCED SAFETY
To help ensure this momentous occasion remains safe, joyful, and memorable for all in attendance, enhanced security measures will be in place for this year’s ceremony. All graduates, staff, and guests will be required to pass through metal detectors upon entering the venue.

Guests are highly encouraged to arrive early and allow additional time for entry.

We understand these extra steps can require a bit more time and patience, but the safety of our students, families, and community is our absolute highest priority. We appreciate your cooperation, respect for our security staff, and adherence to these guidelines so that we can keep the focus exactly where it belongs: on celebrating the incredible Class of 2026.

GRADUATION TICKETS
Each graduate has received 10 tickets for graduation based on the seating capacity of War Memorial Stadium. Infants and children under the age of two (2) will not require a ticket for entry.

HANDICAP/ELDERLY DROP OFF
There will be a drop-off zone on 24th Street near the south gate for handicapped and elderly persons only. Please limit this drop-off area to elderly and handicapped persons to avoid traffic issues on 24th Street.
NORTH WAR MEMORIAL PARKING AREA WILL BE CLOSED
The parking area immediately north of War Memorial will be CLOSED to all for parking and drop off. Drop off for the elderly and handicapped can occur on 24th Street near the south gate.

BEFORE THE CEREMONY BEGINS
The gates at War Memorial Stadium will open at 4:30 pm. The entrance for all family and friends will be through the gate on 24th Street or the North Gate of Vine Street. Please be aware that the Lewis Flamson Junior High Quad Ramp will not be open for general admission. Seating will be first come first served.

Graduation is a formal school ceremony. We want every graduate's name to be heard and every family to enjoy the moment. Guests are expected to remain respectful, follow directions from staff and security, keep walkways and aisles clear, and celebrate in a way that honors every graduate. We ask for the courtesy of all in attendance to please remain in their designated seating area and refrain from using artificial sound makers throughout the graduation ceremony.
