We made it through our second day of school!!! Thank you for your patience and support during these first days!
We are looking forward to partnering with you in your child's education. Please reach out to us at any point during the year if you need support with a challenging situation—we all have those days and moments.
In particular, if your child has a difficult start to their morning, please reach out to their teacher via Parent Square. Giving the teacher a heads-up helps them prepare before your child arrives in the classroom and provides time to arrange extra support if needed. We are here to partner with you to help ALL of our students thrive, stay safe, and succeed while on our campus.
Community School Initiative Grant
We are entering our third year of implementing our Community School Initiative Grant. Our school was awarded $1,187,500.00, which is distributed over a 5-year period.
What is a Community School?
A Community School serves TK–12th grade students by focusing on a "whole child" approach. It emphasizes collaboration among educators, parents, students, and community partners to provide a supportive environment where all students can thrive.
-
Vision: Through meaningful family and community partnerships, inclusive leadership, and a safe, supportive climate, we help students grow, belong, and succeed.
-
Goal 1: Authentic Family and Community Engagement (Ann Mihelic) – Strengthen student outcomes through family and community partnerships to foster a joyful school environment.
-
Goal 2: Develop a Positive and Restorative School Climate (Katie Cox) – Create a safe and supportive school climate where every student feels they belong and can grow with help from health, wellness, academic programs, and extracurricular activities.
-
Goal 3: Increase Collaborative Leadership (TBA) – Advance a culture of shared leadership through transparent, collaborative decision-making that reflects diverse perspectives.
